So What Y- The church

Wow! This is pretty cool to be doing a blog for the church. Every week I will be sending out a blog. It will include my radio commercial for the week with some comments and news about the church. The commercials are played on WVHL - 92.9 FM from Thursdays -Saturdays. They usually fit What we are talking about on Sundays. So...Here goes.


Radio 84 1/24/05
40 years ago the Kansas City Chiefs and the Green Bay Packers were in the first Super Bowl. This year it’s Seattle and Pittsburg. Year after year the 2 teams in the Super Bowl show us that winning is about team work. NO way can one super athlete get his team to the Super Bowl by himself. In the same way successful churches demonstrate teamwork. This week the Riverside Community Church will celebrate the Lord’s Day by looking at the Lord’s vision for the church. The Riverside Church meets at the movie theater near the food Lion here in Farmville. Why don’t you bring the family to our celebration service beginning at 10:30. When Jesus invented the church He expected us to operate as a team. See John 17 to read His prayer to the Father about Unity. This Sunday We will look at the importance of the Local Church and how we can demonstrate teamwork. By the way, the leadership event last Sunday Afternoon went very well. A big thank you to all who made the effort to come out. God has big plans for Riverside. Also, thanks to all those who helped Doug and Betty move and also to all those who wanted to, but the silly pastor changed the date on you. Anyways, I was impressed.
